Our Practice in Caldwell

Dr. Micah Mills was raised in rural southern Oregon, where his family enjoyed various outdoor activities. He earned his undergraduate degree in health science at Corban University and his doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry.

After completing his residency training at the Illinois Eye Institute in urban Chicago, he moved west and joined Treasure Valley Eyecare. Dr. Mills is the only optometric physician in Caldwell/Nampa to complete a post-graduate residency and is among the few nationally (less than 15%) to complete this intensive training.

He is the regional director of the Idaho Optometric Physicians Association and a member of the American Optometric Association and the Caldwell Rotary Club.

Dr. Mills’ specialties include comprehensive vision and eye health exams for adults and children, LASIK and cataract co-management, and contact lens fitting. Dr. Mills also has clinics for dry eye, glaucoma, diabetes, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

During his training, Dr. Mills oversaw an urgent care service with 24/7 on-call duties handling emergencies, including infections, trauma, and minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Amy Neideffer was raised in a small town in Northern California.  She received her undergraduate degree from UCLA with a B.S. in Biology.  Following her undergraduate studies, she attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon for her professional education. Dr. Amy has also completed a residency in co-management of Ocular Disease and Refractive and Ocular Surgery at BVA Advanced Eyecare and nJoy Vision in Oklahoma City, OK where she had the opportunity to work alongside subspecialists in glaucoma, corneal, and refractive procedures, as well as receive training and practice in minor surgical procedures.  She is a member of the Idaho Optometric Physicians Association, American Optometric Association, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Amy provides comprehensive vision and eye health exams for adults and children, Lasik and cataract co-management, and contact lens fitting. She also manages conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye.

Dr. Amy enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, listening to live music, and baking in her free time.
